Whats the best choice for speedy windows and gaming in 1280x1024 4xAA 16xAF with All game Option ON
and web browsing I want best performance and save money until get 8800GTX and M2 or intel 940

1.Athlon 64 3200+ E3 or E6 @ 2.7GHz + DFI NForce4 Ultra-D + Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC4000 + 7800GTX
2.Athlon 64 3500+ E3 or E6 @ 2.7GHz + DFI NForce4 Ultra-D + Crucial Ballistix PC3200 2-2-2-7 + 7800GTX
3.Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.2GHz + DFI NForce4 Ultra-D + Crucial Ballistix PC3200 2-2-2-7 + 7800GTX
4.Athlon 64 X2 4200+ @ 2.3GHz + DFI NForce4 Ultra-D + Crucial Ballistix PC3200 2-2-2-7 + 7800GTX

3 or 4. If more smp patches come out then you'd be laughing at the single core people. Also Windows would run slightly faster on a dual-core.

well, a dual core processor can handle just as much as a single core. as long as you dont need a lot of voltage, which is unlikely, id say you can easily get at least 2.5.

also, whatever you do, get an E3 core, the E6 cant overclock at all.

just what ive seen on the forums. some E6's might do well, and some E3's may not do well, but if you get an E3, you have a lot better chances.

if budget is an issue, go with 1 or 2, even for general usage, overclocked that high plus some good ram and a 7800GTX is fine. BTW, 7800GTX is overkill for 1280x1024 even with max settings.

I'd do number 3, for cost and future-proofness. I'd overclock the X2 to at least 2.4 GHz though, and 2.5 to 2.6 GHz if it could handle it without too much extra voltage.
