Rig specs:

Athlon 64 skt 754 3000
chaintech nforce 3 250 mobo
1gb mushkin ram
ATI Radeon X800XL AGP
Antec TruePower 430W

About 6 months ago I installed the Radeon X800XL card in and the computer runs flawlessly but it does not wake up from standby at all. I noticed my 12v were a bit low (like 12.7-8'ish) so I swaped the Truepower for a Sparkle 400W (which has dual +12v 18a rails). The voltages got alot stabler (12.8-.9 now), but it still does not wake up from standby.

Is there a BIOS thingy I need to change or reinstall OS? (never reinstalled OS since old card was Radeon 9800 Pro).

Check the BIOS options, refer to the manual if needed. There's diferent modes of standby, and also it depends on the windows configuration. I set in Windows for my power button to act as standby if pressed momentarily. Depending on how its configured in the BIOS and Windows, your power button may needed to wake it up from standby. I configured in my BIOS to use a keypress to wake from standby.

I too couldn't get mine to wakeup from standby until I understood a little more about it and configured my BIOS and XP options. It might also help to update your BIOS if its old.

Here's my thread about the same issue.. I got it to work fine.
