I've read that memory bandwidth is more important to the A64 than latency. Is this the consensus opinion? I'm trying to decide between CAS3 PC3700 and CAS2.5 PC3500 (Kingmax).

Thanks

Actually I thought it was the other way around - latency more important than bandwidth for the A64.
The 939's dual channel mem (more bandwidth) is hardly worth the cost over 754's.

Intel's architecture prefers more bandwidth which why the 800 fsb really improves performance.

Then again I don't see latency improving performance by a large margin as well - must be the internal controller of the A64. What a great chip.

for athlon64's latency has shown a greater impact then memory bandwidth. And ocz's eb series has shown the best speed so far. (even though they are enhanced bandwidth they are as fast at 2.5-3-3-8 as most other chips at 2-2-2...)
