A64 price/performance after OC

Hey all...i'm looking for price/performance. I'm willing to buy the A64 3400. I've heard people state it will OC to about the 3700.

1) I guess my main question is...what overclocks "more" from its original clock spped...the 3400+ or 3200+?

2) which would you get?

I would get the 512kb cache 3200+ as benchmarks show the A64 scales well with clockspeed. It's also a newer stepping than the 3200+ 1mb cache model so it may ramp better too.

so if the A64 scales better with clock speed...if the 3200 & 3400 are both 2.2Ghz...where does the 3400 OC outperform the 3200 OC?

I have found for 32bit gaming performance that@the same clockspeed the CPUs perform very similarly and that the extra cache doesn't do much to seperate one from the other. Now, if you have the money the 512kb version of the 3400+ is a great chip because it's already@2.4ghz so any overclock you manage is all gravy :light
