According to AMD's website, true mobile AMD 64's are on their way.

Supposedly, these run at 25 % less wattage than the standards and have a full 1M level 2 cache. This means that they are the same frequency at 3200+, but lower at 3000+ and 2800+ but with the bigger cache. We will see when they can actually be obtained. They are $15 more than the standard 64's, according to their OEM costs. Hopefully, we will see these soon.

Nice link!

That just might convince me to hold off on an XP-M purchase for the moment. If a relatively cheap and highly overclockable mobile 64 were released, that would definitely pwn current bartons :)

im excited too...if the mobile 64 is as good at the mobile XP, we might have a great budget overclocker on our hands!

No... those are the DTR's, not the true mobiles. I am not sure when the A64-M's will be available, but they have been sent, according to AMD.
Supposedly, they will be like $15 more than the standard, basically like the XP-M to XP cost now. I'm not sure on all the details, I just know what I have read from the AMD website. I just know they should run at 25% less wattage than the standard. I'm not sure if that means 25% less voltage or not, but on wattage it should be.

Do you think their release will drive the price of XP-M's down?
It shouldn't, since they are two different class processors, in two different price brackets.
