Hello,

My system is:
AMD Athlon 64 2800+ (Newcastle) - Family 15 Model 12 Step 0 Revision DH7-CG
MSI K8N NEO Platinum motherboard with latest drivers and BIOS ver 1.5
SevenTeam ST-350BKV 350W PSU
512MB Corsair Value PC3200 RAM CL2.5, Timing is 2.5-3-3-8
GeCube Radeon 9800pro - 128MB
Runing WinXP Pro SP2

When I install my memory on Slot 1 or Slot 2 I get tons of errors in Test 5 of Memtest86+ ( or Memtest86). But in Slot 3 I get no erros.

It seems that cooling the chipset helps, when I cool it with a fan I get less erros. I have also noticed that applying 2.6 volts to the memory helps a little. More or less then 2.6 V only make things worst.

I have replaced my mobo, my memory and my processor but the problem persists.

Any sugestion??

Thanks

Try the RAM at CL 3 and see if you still get Memtest errors.

Also, the MB manual says...

Always insert the memory modules into the GREEN slots first, and it is strongly recommended not to insert the memory modules into the PURPLE slots while the GREEN slots are left empty.

Edit: I just noticed your OP says Neo Platinum, not Neo2 Platinum. So I suppose you can disregard that quote. I'll leave it there though. It may be helpful for someone else. :)

I've tried CL 3 but the problem persists.

agressive timming and dinamic overclocking are disabled

i think this memory is incompatible with my K8N neo Platinum.

Which memory you guys recommend?

I'm running 2x512 PC3200 Kingston ValueRAM at 2.5-3-3-8 with no problems on my K8N Neo Plat

Edit: I'm running BIOS v1.4 too BTW if that makes any difference
