I just go an asrock a64 board (temp until the k8n-e is available) and want to attach my slk948 so I need to remove the stock retention mechanism. On the neo it was attached with screws on the asrock there are 4 white plastic pins, any ideea how to remove it without damaging the pins? I would like to have the option to rma the board when the asus comes out so i dont want to break the pins, but i cant figure out how to remove them.

I am very unimpressed with the ethics of this tactic.

same company, will also order from same store, so either way they are getting more of my money and i am using the board for less then 1 month. Dont like going this route either but running a dtr and the msi is terrible (rma'ing that) so i need a replacement and the asrock is the only thing that is completley stable and it just doenst have the features to justify so it is either this, or have an extra board or have a processor and no board until the asus comes out (and the asus is already 3 weeks late)
