A64 Chips - Multiplier Locked

Hey fellas,

IS bummping up the FSB the only way to overclock these or is it possible to change the multiplier?

Additional question: Are all CPUs unlocked or is it dependent on the Stepping (I mean: some CPUs are locked and some other are not)?

Theyre unlocked downwards. so If you have a 3000+ socket 754. Its operating at 2.0 GHz. So the multiplier is 10x. This means that you can adjust it downwards e.g 9x, 8x and so on. But the max allowed multi is 10x.

EDIT: Only the FX CPUs are unlocked. It doesnt matter which stepping they are. All regular A64s are half locked.

all a64's except the FX's are toplocked, meaning you can only lower the multi like Yanagi said.
