Hey gang,

I'll probably be purchasing an A64 3500 for my next computer and I was wondering if it is worth the extra $40.00 to get the 90nm cores. I do plan to overclock, but nothing extreme.

At stock speed there's no difference. The 90nm will overclock better, but the Newcastle should be fine for lighter overclocking. However, if you're overclocking anyway, consider the 3200+ or 3000+, which should easily clock up to 3500+ speed on the stock cooler and probably stock voltage.

My newcastle 3000+ does 2.5ghz on stock cooling and voltage, default speed is 2ghz so its certainly not a light ocer.
