A64 3200+ w/ 4x512mb DDR400

I'm currently running an A64 3200+ "Winchester" on an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe. Right now I have 2x512 of Corsair DDR400 2-2-2-5-1T RAM. I've heard that installing 4x512mb of RAM will make it run at DDR333 @ 2T, or will it be DDR400 @ 2T? If it will run at DDR333, I'm obviously going to get an A64 "Venice" 3200+. My question about the Venice is does it run as cool as the Winchester?

Sweet.

So you're 100% I can run 4x512mb of RAM at DDR400 with a Winchester CPU?

just keep in mind that it will run at 2T, which is slower than 1T.

and 2t vs 1t won't mean much out of synthetic benchmarks. At most, assuming that you never use more than 1 gig of ram, i'd expect to see <5% difference in SOME isntances, and most would be negliglble

Bah, it'll be 5% slower at most. I've been thinking about adding another 1GB to my current setup for a couple of days, and based on the games I play, I'll see a noticeable decrease in loading times and maybe a slight FPS boost.
