I'e been reading around here and started overclocking my CPU.

I currently have it on 255 x 9 , HT at x3, and Vcore at 1.50 0.1 more than auto vcore.

I could probably get higher clock , since heating isnt a problem yet, its stock cooling, but still haven't got my cpu over 45 C, how high could I up the vcore ?

Alright, i got 265 x9 now, Stable at 1.55 vcore. Is it safe with that vcore, or should I clock down and lower vcore? Temp is 45 C under load.

that seems a bit high for that OC. i got my 3000+ @ 300x8, stock voltage. @ 1.5v you should be able to get a bit more. i would say take a look at your memory timings and speed. you might be able to get more from cpu without having to raise the vCore.

I'll look into that when I get home, currently at work. I think the timings are on 2. 3-8-8-10,

I got 2.67ghz out of my Athlon 64 3000+ (E6 Venice skt754), I used 1.5vcore (my mobo provides a bit more power so I get 1.52-1.54v), 267 x 10, 3x HTT(give 1600mhz...standard speed for my mobo), my memory is set to 1.33 and is DDR400...my timings are 7,3,3,2.5 2T(a limitation of my memory on my GA-K8NS PRO).

It has run Prime95 on Large FFT's and small FFT's for more than 52hrs each with out any problems.

if u arent try running the memory on a divider, if you have the older 130nm parts then that voltage seems alright, because they thrive it

however the venices dont need as much and 1.5 is moderately high for a venice
