I have an Aopen AK86-L motherboard (it was one of the recommended amd mb's) which has no agp/pci lock, I have read the quick and dirty guide but it doesnt seem to apply to me, anyways I want to know if my max overclock is limited by my agp/frequency (dont want to go too high).

I have overclocked it from 2GHz to 2.15GHz with the provided utility and it runs stable when I run it through completely in PCmark 04 and play HL-2.

This is the Motherboard site

Yep the PCI/AGP bus can and will hold back your overclock. Set the AGP to 4X if you have a 8X card and that will help a LITTLE.

Other then that either get a nForce3 250gb board or keep what ya got. I doubt you will notice the diff.

I thought as much, makes me wonder why they bundle overclocking software with it, if you cant really do much with it.
