Yo,

can anybody tell me about the 13 letter code? After some googeling I know what all the other codes on a A64 CPU stand for but the last line with the 13 letters seem to be special.

Isn't that the serial code?? Is it all numbers??

The top line is the type, speed, vcore, fsb, etc...

The second line is stepping, fab date, and fab location ( not sure on this)

I thought the last line was serial code....

Just list all the numbers as you see them....

hmm, maybe its just the serial number 🙁 i hoped there is a message in it 🙂

ADA 3500 DIK 4BI <-- perfectly clear
CBBHD 0450UPAW <-- perfectly clear
1168945 L 40436 <<--- thats the line iam interested in

Thatt would be the serial #, if it's a retail CPU the same # will be underneath the barcode on your retail heatsink.

well, okay. destroyed my hopes for secret informations 😉

Do u have a list of all possible assembly locations? I was wondering what location the letter P shows?

and what do these letters about the wafers tell me exactly: A and W?

iam talking bout the 4-letter code 🙂

I have no idea about that, I just know that one is the serial number because I tried to RMA recently and the rep asked for both codes to verify warranty.

ok, and it sounds logical cuz every hardware has to have a serial number and as we kno that the other codes, eg the 4 and the 5 letter codes are not serials so its obvious the 13 letter code must be the serial for rma issues.
