Hey all, I'm thinking of picking one of these up at best buy clearance for either a SB or BD build. I know most of you recommend the 212+, but for $15 cheaper, is this comparable?

It has one fewer heatpipe than the 212+ so it probably can't dissipate as much heat. That being said, SB doesn't need much cooling unless you're going for huge overclocks.

My xigmatek dark knight is working fine for my 2500k at 4.6ghz. I think the a50 is at least as good.

THis looks very comparable to the A50.. A bit more compact with the 92mm fan.

I Used one of these at first on my 2600K And costs $26, but the 212 lowered my temps by at least 5c ....

It really has a super mounting system - I used the baseplate with my 212 ..
