A3D sound card doens't come out of sleep mode

I've got an Aureal SQ2500 (A3D 2.0) PCI sound card in my Duron 650 system (Asus A7V motherboard) and every time I bring my system out of sleep mode, I have no audio. But if I go into the A3D audio properties and simply click on the "A3D Settings" tab, the audio comes back. Anybody know how to avoid this? I would contact Aureal tech support, but they don't seem to be online yet since they're still going through the whole acquisition deal with Creative Labs.

WHAT OS?

Try using the current reference drivers or the updated retail drivers.

Also...not to be rude, but you're a "Computer Advisor" at eOpinions? 😛

Thanks for the suggestions, but I've already tried reinstalling the drivers, and I'm already using the latest version (2048). It sounds like it is due to the incompatibility with the VIA chipset, since the fix they describe (disabling and re-enabling the drivers) works, but it appears to have the same effect as pulling up the A3D settings tab (which is easier anyway).

In any case, our days of blistering heat in Texas appear to be coming to an end (just dipped to 50 F today), so I'll probably just be leaving my PC on 24/7 for a while. Not only will it keep my room warm, but I should also see a drastic increase in my Seti@Home output 🙂.
