This really needs no explanation!

The score in part 2 - winter - the real low frequency warble just makes it really feel powerful. You need an actual subwoofer or toosh shaker to experience it though.

Probably one of the few places on Earth where you might see more than 3 stars on a clear night. Goddamn light pollution

Tell me about it. During the college year, I live in Erie. There's so much light pollution, you can go on a walk without a flashlight. Now I'm at home, about 10 miles from any city. Lots of stars visible, and so dark at night, I couldn't even find the mailbox.

Still thinking about taking a job down there. Would be like home in January, but with penguins instead of shitty drivers.

I really, really want the opportunity to spend some time down there. But I'm working towards biological sciences, and the projects at Amundsen-Scott all seem focused on physics and astronomy, and it's hard to think of bio-research that could be done there that hasn't already been done.

Must be great to have the 24 hour sunlight, get a lot done. Then on 24 hour night you can really sleep in.
