a working zip file ended up corrupted after being transferred via LAN

ohhh so much problems with my roomate's comp today, after his voodoo roasted and his sound card popped, our LAN is screwded up...

he copy 3dmark2000 and 99 from my computer to his, the transfer was successful, but he cannot install it.
upon unzipping the 3dmark2000 and 99, it failed, one of the file cannot be unzipped.

does this happen normally? or its just his bad day cursed by a Haiti voodoo?....
