A woman (a mother of four) and her mother were found murdered in my neighborhood

Well, it's not exactly in my neighborhood per se. But I do pass the house on the way to school.

The scene was quite gruesome:

An autopsy Tuesday determined that the 38-year-old woman died of multiple stab and incise wounds and multiple bullet wounds, a medical examiner's office spokeswoman said, confirming that the death was a homicide.

Autopsy results indicate the woman's mother died of multiple bullet wounds in a homicide, the spokeswoman said.

The police believe that the woman's ex-boyfriend was somehow involved in the murders:

A judge Friday denied bond for a man accused of trying to hire his chiropractor to kill his ex-girlfriend, and prosecutors announced in court that the defendant was the "main suspect" in the murders of his ex-girlfriend and her mother in Glenview this week.

It's apparently the first homicide in Glenview in a decade. Considering the proximity of the town to the city of Chicago, I find that quite surprising.
