Another vote for Soyo. Mine has been great since Thanksgiving. Also, I think some of the quality issues discussed in these forums are legit while others are not. Because of it's low price many inexperienced users tried to connect them to under powered cards that became heavily overworked when configured to the high native resolution (1920x1200) of the monitor.

No, this would not cause multiple horizontal rows of pixels to go bad.

You're describing what I would call a legit quality issue with the monitor. But there are numerous instances where people stated that the monitors were exhibiting sparkling pixels randomly across the display. This I would call Graphics processor overstress and/or overheating.

WOW go check newegg! There's 3 displays under $360 after rebate, 1920x1200, I'm getting one of those, who cares if it's TN. +$15 AShipping.

I really like my Acer AL2016W. 20" widescreen, 1600x1050 native resolution, 5ms response time...I paid $200 from newegg for it. Great for gaming.

I decided on the Westinghouse; it's a P-MVA panel (based on numerous user comments, as well as the viewing angles); got a DVI to HDMI cable to go with it; shipped was $430 so after the rebate total cost will have been $380. This panel also has Component inputs. Now the only thing it is lacking is xtknight's blessing. :p

I don't think xtknight will give you his blessing >

BTW the Westy L2410NM recently changed to TN (it was being falsely advertised as 178/178, or it changed from VA->TN). See http://forums.anandtech.com/me...id=31&threadid=2107419

So I'm not sure they're P-MVA anymore...

L2410nm is definitely an P-MVA panel. It is absolutely gorgeous. I picked mine up from newegg for same price as Soccerballtux. I absolutely love the display and would recommend to anyone.
