A whopper of an update from Mandriva

I've been using Mandriva 2009.1 for a while now and within the last couple of days, they hatched one of the largest updates I've seen for any software. It consisted of 300 separate update items. I guess most of them were small as it didn't take that long on my relatively slow, basic DSL speed. Just now another update notice popped up - only 5 more items and very small.

thats nothing. ubuntu can easily have more than that between period releases (an annoying bonus is the frequent kernel updates)

No kidding!?!?!

And openSUSE too... :D

The first time I installed openSUSE 11, it must have taken 2 hours to update - Open Office took forever!

All I had in the last couple of days was a kernel update I believe.
