Hello,

I was curious to know if there is a way to turn my notebook and OS(Windows XP) into an alarm clock by setting it so that at a certain time it will play music to wake me up, or if there is a program out there that does this?

Thanks,
A ;)

Well the easiest way (and one that I used to utilize) is to make a playlist for your favorite mp3 software, then schedule it as a daily task in the windows task scheduler. You can also schedule shoutcast streams if you'd prefer to listen to Internet Radio.

Just make sure your system is rock-solid stable. Turning your PC into an alarm clock now means that you have an alarm clock capable of crashing, rebooting, and getting virus/spyware infections.
And sometimes on my WinXP system, the Task Scheduler service will just randomly disable itself. It's even done this on fresh installs. Only happens about once a month, but it's annoying when it happens.
