A way to tag windows 7 taskbar items

What I'm looking for is a way to tag task bar items. My issue is that I normally have multiple windows open of the same program and the Title/Caption is identical for all instances, I'd like a way to tell the difference between the items. Similar to pin/unpin but instead just something to add a visual identifier to taskbar item. Any plugins out there that can do this?
