Basicaly what topic says, in game i can only select 1024x768 max. For bf2 u added something to the shortcut and it forced it. Is there somethinglike that for this demo? I got a 1280x native rez, and 1024x is pukish.

Nope, there's no support for widescreens in this demo. I'm pretty sure I won't be buying this game if the retail version doesn't support widescreens.

So annoying... :disgust:

12x10 isn't widescreen, but it's technically not a 4:3 ratio either (it's 5:4) so it's kind of a bastard resolution.

But I can't really talk. I'm using a 1704FPT :p

I've got it running at 1680x1050 (widescreen). Here how to do it:

Open "Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEARSPDemo\settings.cfg"in notepad and edit "ScreenWidth" & "ScreenHeight" to whatever value you like.

Enjoy!

I'll give it a shot. :)

Game looked pretty fun, from the bit I played in the demo. Nice atmosphere, with the shadows and all.

But most likely the aspect ratio is not correct. That is the most anoying issue with widescreen today. It isn't the fact that you can get those resolutions, it is that you cannot get them in a proper aspect ratio with many games. So far, WoW and Guild Wars has done an excellent job with widescreen. HL2 and CS:Source works great too. Doom3 doesn't work so hot and requires FOV change, which can result in a fish bowl... Eve is the worst at supporting it. All it does is fill the pixels with stretches it out with some bizarre FOV... A planet is only round when it is at the center of your screen, but when the planet nears the edge, you have a oval planet :-/ Not real cool IMO.
