A Walk to Remember

for the people that actually read the book, im defining the end many ways, cause at the very end it says theres one thing i havent told you, is that miracles do happen, so what exactly is it refering to? in the movie Jamie did die but in the book im getting a feeling that she didnt, anyone wanna comment on it?

lol... sorry man you're not going to get a serious answer here on a friday night... 🙁 all the normal folks are out...

<--- abnormal 😀

Mandy Moore ... (Me Drooling)

Anyways the miracle they are referring to is the transformation or metamorphosis that occurs in the leading male character. From a punk kid to a responsible young lad.

hum my friend also said that, but i guess i got confused cuaes in the middle/end they were praying for a miracle, so that kinda threw me off a bit

are you referring that jamie witnesed a miracle at the end of the movie? well, she did. remember how the kid Lando was like in the beginning of the movie? he was so messed up in the school and almost got kicked out. he changed so much because of her. I guess that was the miracle. well, I didn't read the book, but i saw the movie a few times.

Yeah, its the whole Landon thing.. They *were* praying for the cure as a miracle, but the "best part" of it was that the miracle came in an unexpected way.

Basically, Mandy Moore is hott.

yeah the book's ending also threw me off also, as i was like "whoa hey miracle?" but realized... she did die.

The miracle was that Landon fell in love with a hot babe and decided to change his ways to be with her. I would to if it meant being with Mandy Moore.

i guess in the book the author cops out a bit. i'm surprised theres a book, that type of stuff is formula movie. plenty of movies where a "dying lover" reforms someone. most recent besides a walk to remember is taht sweet november with charlize theron and kenau. i'm sure someone else can rattle off a few more. i think dying young is another.

basically, them religious types will ignore the sh!t that happens in the world and call every little good thing a "miracle" to justify their faith.
