I recently upgraded to Windows ME (with a clean format and install), and very often, I receive the following error at bootup before my LAN login box appears:
"A network error has occurred: Not all of your networking resources may be available"
I am using ICS, and only one other computer is hooked into the LAN.
Here is my setup:
Windows ME (with critical patches installed from MS)
Athlon 1.1Ghz
256MB RAM
Gigabyte Mobo
SB Live!
Hercules Prophet II-MX (Geforce2MX AGP)
Linksys NIC/Hub
D-Link NIC (for cable connection)
Iomega Jazz drive w/Iomega SCSI adapter
All drivers are ME compliant.
The good news is everything works from that point forward. All I have to do is acknowledge the message, and the system proceeds with the network login.
Basically, I'm trying to learn all I can about this, so I can hopefully remedy this annoyance.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
