Just bought a new house, and i need suggestions for AV setup in the living room. Do I just throw a 5or6 shelf/tower off to the side and TV above the fireplace? Need some suggestions because I see no other options.

Equipment includes av receiver, ps4, fire tv box, Comcast box, bookshelf speakers, rear satellites (front port), center channel, and 12" dayton

above a fireplace is a terrible location for a tv
heat, neck strain, ect ect

i prefer corner locations myslelf

hard to gauge with just the shot you posted... some idea of the full room would make ideas a lot easier to develop...

Depends on how much you want to invest. Easiest is a rack or nice A/V furniture next to the fireplace. Or you could place it else where in the room and run an HDMI to the TV which likely isn't going to be easy or cheap.

The best is to not put the TV over the fireplace, pretty much the worst place to put one. But if you insist do yourself a favor and buy one of these: https://www.mantelmount.com
