A thought on the NHL...

I just watched this beer commercial on TV where they had a hockey game and the questoin was "who says you have to be in shape to be a professional athlete?"

Is there any rule in the NHL on goalie size? I'm not sure how big the goal is but if you get a huge lardo in pads and put him out there, he could probably take up a good percentage of the goal...

Any hockey gurus know about this???

there are size limitations on the goalies and every players equiment like gloves, pads, jerseys etc... but ottawa has a guy..charra i think...who is really tall and they allowed him to have a longer stick.

its possible that a fat guy with pool cover for a jersey could play goalie but he might crack the ice.

HAHA, funny question. But no, there is not a rule on the size of your goaltender (as in the size of him). yeah hypothetically they could stick a huge lard out there, but he probably wouldnt be able to stand up if he's that big to block the net. let alone after a couple of nhl caliber slap shots hit him, he'll be out for the count.
