A theoretical dilemma...

Lets say I replicate, using nanites, Person X done to the molecular level. Person Y is created by the replication, a complete copy of Person X. Now, a problem arises. Person X had a significant other, parents, car, house, job.... a Life. Person Y wants Person X's life, and vice versa. Person X and Y are selfish and wont share. I replicated person X without their permission and both person X and person Y does not know that I replicated Person X. They both think they are the original. Lets say I did this when Person X was sleeping and Person Y was put on Person X's couch while Person X slept in their bed upstairs while the significant other is away on a trip, with a note on each Person that reads You have been copied and the imposter is in your house. . What would you do?

Nano literally means "one billionth". And in the case of nanotechnology, nanometer is the general measurement used. 1 billionth of a meter, where half a dozen atoms reside (depending on the atom of course). With nanotechnology, eventually everything that is possible (i.e. doesn't break the laws of physics) will be... well.... possible. That is, if nanotechnology becomes a reality. Nanites can move atoms around and create structures while others will be flowing around in your body repairing cells and keeping cancerous cells from multiplying... etc.
