A tale of two monitors

I'm torn between two NEC monitors, but while they cost different amounts the specs seem exactly the same. Has anyone ever used these monitors that can suggest for or against getting one? My budget is about $150-$200 (although I can go a bit higher if it puts me in the sweet spot) and I want a sharp looking display that can display 1600x1200 for gaming.

My two choices:

I'm curious if one is a flat screen and the other isn't. (hence the higher cost) But while I do want a flat display, I can't really tell from the pictures... And suggestions would be very much appreciated.

The cheaper one looks like a non-flat.

Check NEC's site for that model to verify that.

The specs on that model look great. But I'm doubting if the picture quality is as great. I can't really explain it, but the NEC that I got with my previous computer has to be the sharpest looking monitor I have ever seen in person. The colors are beautiful and vibrant. It just looks better then all of the other brands I've seen. (As good as it looks however, there is no changing the fact that it is a 17" with a max res of 1280x1024 at 60 hz...) But it was for that reason I wanted to stay with NEC. Granted, PQ is all in perception and I guess I can't really get anyone to tell me what would work best over all for my prefrences. However, thanks for posting the link. The specs are good. I only wish I could know ahead of time if it could match the PQ of my current monitor.
