IMHO I get the impression that the reviews posted on Steve's comes from that of an optimist's POV or perhaps he (or they?) doesn't criticize as much and/or as strongly compared to the reviews I've seen. Nevertheless in addition to HDTVMan's suggestion, you may want to take a look see over at DPreview & Imaging Resource + their user forums if you haven't already.
