I think Obama is trying to out do Bush when it comes to gaffes. He is well on his way to matching Bush in this dubious category.
The difference is Bush sounds like he's mentally impaired.

Umm ... Pot, meet Kettle. Seems a bit hypocritical from one of the Bush faithful given their habit of labeling as "liberal" anyone who didn't guzzle the BushCo Kool-Aid with them. This is doubly hilarious given your comment above, where you label "anyone who doesn't hate Bush, McCain, or the war" as "the left". Riiiggght. (No pun intended.)

It's OK. That's why we love you Cad.

Not. Even. Close. Not in the same ballpark. Not in the same league. Not even in the same sport. That's as absurd as claiming someone who spilled a glass of water is well on his way to becoming another Katrina. A few minor gaffes is in no way comparable to the epic disaster that is George W. Bush.

That'd be funny if it were true but even you...the partisan crank know it isn't...not that you'll ever admit it.

Oh and learn to read. I did not claim what you wrote... you are just as bad as those you profess to hate with your quote cutting and pasting. But hey... it's not like I expected anything less from you given your track record...

On second thought, I'll ignore the rest of your delusional rant (given the source), but "those I profess to hate"? WTF are you talking about? Please explain who it is I allegedly hate, and be sure to offer links to back up your slur, because I'm pretty damn sure I've never professed to hate anyone. Hating is your department. kthx

Well, this is one of the few things that I'll miss about the Bush administration. Although, I have no doubt that Obama will provide us with plenty of gaffes, we've already seen a few of those. Hopefully the left can relax a little bit and see the humor in that as well.

we've had 8 years of "but but Clinton" every time someone criticizes Bush, this thread might be the first shot of the "but but Bush" we're in for in the next 4-8 🙂

And with you it makes 2 trolls... 😉

Seriously though for a moment...

The president manages to dick up everything he touches, starts a war and gets thousands killed for no good reason, and then you get butt-hurt when someone makes fun of HOW HE TALKS? You're a cry-baby.

Honestly, if I didn't think Bush was such a terrible person, I'd find his verbal screw-ups endearing.

What has Obama said that was funny, anyway? I honestly haven't heard anything, though I haven't been paying attention lately.

Thanks for the list. I'll be sure not to vote for G.W.Bush this election.

yeah, there are a lot of people who won't vote for mccain either.

You know, honestly, yes, Bush probably has dementia, and has said some silly things, but I think most of the (huge) problems his administration has caused were not from him, but rather Cheney and other members of his staff...anyway...

Why is that on the list? That is a word of wisdom and is 100% true.

What did your credibility ever do to you to deserve this abuse by you?

See the thread by Blackangst that this was supposed to be a "counter" for. Although I don't agree with Blackangst when he accuses BHO of lying about most of the things that he said, I'd say they are just the inevitable slip ups that any professional speech giver is going to make.

57 states? Funny.
Seeing fallen veterans in the crowd? Funny
etc...

I didn't even come close to reading all of those Bush quotes. I maybe read 15 of them. In any case, they all seemed like sentences cut from context that didn't make a lot of sense. The grammar was poor in many cases or there were double negatives. Whatever, they were confusing all on their own, but they didn't seem to be fabrications of the truth or outright lies. What he does is what I call a misspeak. What Obama does on the other hand, those are lies. I don't have a problem with someone truly making mistakes while speaking. I do think he's a poor public speaker and not a very charismatic leader, but what he says aren't downright lies. Obama's are many times, and I have a much bigger problem with that, personally.

Nope, I don't care about the list. He mangles statements at times. So?
If you would pay attention, my response was to the troll bringing up neocons as if that had anything to do with the subject. Sheesh...

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to counter that other thread. Nice post, jpeyton!

Nice lame cut and paste email chain

Yep it looks like a chain Email copy/paste and it is a counter to your garbage post. Get the point yet? If not, get a clue.

when I first read these I hadn't made it out of 2008 when I thought to myself "wow what a bunch of stupid statements over this tenure"

THen I realized it was only this years worth.

Some of those are really nit picking.

Bush: "First of all, Cinco de Mayo is not the independence day. That's dieciséis de Septiembre, and ..."

Matthews: "What's that in English?"

Bush: "Fifteenth of September." (Dieciséis de Septiembre = Sept. 16)

Wow, he's off by a day on a foreign language. Clearly one of the dumbest things ever said by a president.

And can you explain to me why this one is bad?

"I don't want to win? If that were the case why the heck am I on the bus 16 hours a day, shaking thousands of hands, giving hundreds of speeches, getting pillared in the press and cartoons and still staying on message to win?"?Newsweek, Feb. 28, 2000
