Not a dumb question. Your EVGA card will continue to support NV drivers for as long as NV continues supporting that model of card (i.e. if you have an EVGA 3060, so long as NV makes drivers for 3060 cards, your card will remain supported).
However, if for some reason your card needed a *firmware* upgrade down the line (very, very rare) then odds are you'd be out of luck and potentially even unable to use new NV drivers if they rely on the updated firmware to work with the card (again, astoundingly rare).
NV is making the drivers for their chip, not for EVGA's board design.
