Has anyone gotten the Yamaha chip soundcards to support general midi in pure dos mode without one of those connectors that a few mbs had a while ago that made things like that easier? Can it only do the old adlib opl3? Because I didn't buy a card with a Yamaha chip for it's opl abilities.
I won't deny that I've become somewhat spoiled by this sort of thing, and I'm one of those weird people who still likes MIDI a lot, so I just can't stand to use pure dos for games because I end up having to put up with OPL if I want music. Can someone please help me? It would be very nice to be able to use pure dos again.
