No idea what the 9800 Pro drivers were (but i always kept them up to date).
Nvdia drivers are the 84.20 ones iirc.
ATI settings: 1280x1024/6xAA/16xAF (i always set it to high quality in the drivers)
Nvidia settings: 1280x1024/8xS/16xAF (high quality in the drivers)
ATI: http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/dug777/Project641.JPG
Nvidia: http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/dug777/untitled.JPG
Forgive the fact the new one has the otherscreen active
My analysis: Nvidia completely misses out the while line in front of the start line, and blurs the start line far more. AA is pretty much identical as far as i can tell, even tho it's 6xAA vs 8xS. AF is similar, although i prefer the left wall in the ATI shot, the Nvidia one looks kinda odd staying randomly sharp into the distance, however the Nv AF looks better on the grass under the trees on the far right IMO. The white lines as the road goes round the corner are kinda messed up in the nvidia shot, not sure if that's an AF or AA issue...
Anywho, interesting i thought...
enjoy
EDIT: for those who don't know, the app in question is Project64
