A small plane just crashed here near my house.

The crash site is less than 1 mile from here. Eight people are dead. Everything lit up and there was a loud explosion. The plane crashed into a busy street, exactly where a friend of mine lives.

They backed up and don't know how many are dead ... maybe more than eight. Seems that some houses are on fire ... and I don't have the phone number of my friend's house ... NOW I'm worried 🙁
 
no can do ... I'm alone here, no car, and the streets are flooded due to heavy rain here in the last hours, so a cab won't do either 🙁
 
Well, it seems that the plane fell down onto some rowhouses, and my friend doensn't live in a rowhouse, so that's a relief.

Unfortunately, two people are confirmed dead, six are badly injured, and another number are lightly injured. Still, I feel sad for those involved in this accident. 🙁
 
Just a last update:

Eight people on the plane are confirmed dead. 🙁
On ground, people are injured, but there are no reports of deaths.
Fire has burnt down those houses, but everything is under control.
It has been a very stormy night here ... heavy rain and a lot of wind. Something was bound to happen ...
I couldn't get in touch with my friend ... and I'll probably only see her monday. Well, at least I think all is ok with her.

Condolences, nonetheless, for the families of the unfortunate victims. Premature non-existance is proof positive that the Universe is a harsh mistress.

Well, answering some questions:

Cybordolphin: It was a small plane, a "Turbo Comander" if you are into planes. There must have been an explosion while in the air, since witnesses reported that a huge ball of fire came from the sky. A man that lived in an apartment told radio reporters that the plane missed the building by a few hundred feet; it would have been an even worse tragedy if the plane fell onto the apartment complex. Luckly no one on ground was injured.

ArkAoss: No it wasn't in the USA ... it was here in Brazil. And, hummm ... I didn't understand your joke there 😉
