Hasn't the City of Las Vegas spent tons of money over the last 10 years trying to convince the rest of the country that Vegas was all about family oriented entertainment?

Actually, over the past 5 or so years the trend in Vegas is moving towards serving more hardcore adult fare than ever before. The family-oriented things are quickly disappearing, which is a prayer answered.

yeah, I think they tried that route and it has flopped.

thank goodness they're returning to debaucher

I don't know who thought that was a good idea. Sounds like it would just alienate their core demographic in exchange for paltry returns to me.

I think its friendly to families with older kids that don't require constant adult supervision.

And that like having cigar smoke blown in their faces.

The place tried and failed with the family oriented stuff. Now its all about the "What ever happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas" theme. They just want people liquored up dropping all their cash on gambling, girls, and booze.

I was stationed at Nellis AFB for 2.5 years and i must say it was an eye opening experience. i gambled all the time while underage and only played $1 blackjack and quarter slots so that if i won it wouldnt be anything big. but that 2.5 years got all my gambling out of my system and i have no desire to visit vegas. been there done that.
