A simple question for anyone who has used dial-up on a Barricade

Hi folks,

I set up the Barricade Wireless Router this afternoon and it is an absolute blast. Even my impossible-to-impress physicist husband was pretty amazed to find me wirelessly surfing from the ground floor of our house (the access point is on the 3rd floor) 😀 . Next, the ipaq!

For now we have a 56K dial-up. I've hooked an external modem to the com port on the router itself. Now, it appeared to dial "automatically" when I turned the machine on. How do I actually control when it dials? I suppose I can just flip the on/off switch on the modem (the router will always be "on&quot😉, but this seems a tad unsophisticated.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

In the Barricade's Primary setting, Dial-UP, there is Auto Connect check mark.

Also check what is the LAN connection is set to, in the IE connection options.
