hi,
i am in the process of making my pc quieter.
however i am stuck between a choise of coolers for the cpu.

Thermalright AX-7 & Papst 8412 NGML 80mm
or
Zalman Flower CNP6000-CU

which one is the quietist and which is better at cooling?
will both fit on a Abit KT7A-RAID
my current cooler is a Tt VolcanoII

i am also going to replace the Northbridge fan on my KT7A-RAID with a Zalman ZM-NB32 Heatsink.
Will it run ok with a heatsink instead of a fan?

everything that is mentioned is available from Overclockers UK

Thanx in advance

Are you overclocking at all, if so how much and at what voltage?

The thermalright should kick the snot out of the Zalman, and with not a lot more noise using that fan. If you are using a high speed Athlon, it's a far better choice.

You should have no problem at all running your northbridge with just a good heatsink.

You dont need such extreem cooling with such a low end processor.

Grab an SVC GC68 from SV CompuCycle. $12.98 plus shipping, and includes a 28dBA 80mm fan. You can always replaced the fan with a quieter Papst or Panaflo if you wish, and it'll be cheaper than either the Thermalright or Zalman coolers that you mentioned.
