A sign that AMD is going to take low profile consumer cards more seriously?

I noticed AMD is releasing this 50W low profile workstation card with 768sp @ 930 Mhz with 128 bit GDDR5 (4GB):

If this was released as a consumer card it would definitely be the fastest AMD low profile card out (much faster than either the Oland based 30W R7 240 or the 65W R7 250)

30W R7 240: 320sp @ 720Mhz/780Mhz with 128 bit DDR3

65W R7 250: 384sp @ 1000Mhz/1050 Mhz with either 128 bit DDR3 or 128 bit GDDR5.

EDIT: Mods, my mistake posting in CPU. Can you please move to the appropriate video cards forum.

I remember reading about that card a while back.

Nice kit.

My major reservation is the 6 pin power connector requirement. This coupled with high TDP means SFF Pre-builts (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc) are out of the equation. But, yes I agree, for a custom built DIY slim case (without riser) build that card (and the GTX 750 Ti low profile) is top of the line.
