I have an iPhone 7 with a microphone that doesn't work. The iPhone says "audio device not found" for example when trying to use the default recording app. Also, videos record with no sound.

Research on the internet says this a common problem with iPhone 7s, and the fault lies with the onboard audio IC chip. Not sure if it is just a matter of resoldering the existing chip or replacing the chip entirely, but it seems like a job beyond my skill level but relatively straightforward for someone with the right surface mount soldering equipment and micro-soldering tools.

I found a shop in Montreal that will do the work for about $70 - $80 (not sure if USD or CAD), but after exchanging a couple of emails the guy stopped responding to me - not sure why.

Anyone know of a reliable shop where I can mail my phone and they will do the work for a reasonable price?
