I was talking with my bud over at another forum and had a scary realization.
I like lawyers and cockroaches better than republicans.
It really shook me up considering cockroaches are really gross and that lawyers are, well, lawyers.
Being as there is a large sampling population here, I just wanted to see if I was out here all alone.
Obviously if you're a republican you're going to skew the voting if you actually like republicans. So I tried to set this post to immediately delete republican votes and comments. But this forum doesn't have that functionaility, so we'll just have to use the honor system.
Yes, I'm full aware of the irony.
 
You should add realtors, used car salesmen, and mortgage brokers to the list as well.

Trust me, I've met some that make lawyers seem honest in comparison.
 
Cockroaches > lawyers or republicans...

Bob, while car salesmen may be less honest than lawyers, consider this...Lawyers basically write all the laws...talk about setting yourself up in a good position...😉
 
My buddy said, and I quote, "3 things that we will never run out of: Cockroaches, Lawyers, and Republicans ... I heard somewhere that a republican cockroach can survive a nuclear war and still find a lawyer to take his personal injury case."
He happens to be the second smartest man alive next to Dullard, so it has to be true.
 
In order of preference, I will take lawyers, then Republicans, then cockroaches. There are plenty of truly wonderful people who are lawyers (as well as some real dirtbags). There are also many Republicans I like and respect (though I have a harder time respecting 2004 Bush voters than other Republicans in a historical context). All cockroaches, though, are vile and unwelcome in my world.

In my world the roaches perform some low level scavenging duty. I never see them though. Do we have to call them cock roaches? cock ranchers is so much better

Cockroaches serve a purpose in the circle of life. Politicians and Lawyers do not.
 
I see you left the Democrats out of your poll because, obviously, they are all hated as they are the stupidist people alive.
 
I live in the middle of a 100 square mile cow pasture. We don't even have cockroaches except in town, like at McDonald's.
When I was a kid I worked at McDonald's for a short time because I was otherwise unemployable, mostly stoned and/or drunk all the time.
The exterminator came in one night and did his thing. The next day we had to do dead cockroach cleanup.
When I dragged the safe away from the wall there was a 2 1/2 inch deep 24 inch square pile of dead coackroaches. Literally.
I have never been able to shake that image, and I still like them way better than republicans.
When I'm all alone, I sometimes try to imagine all the republicans in a pile under a great big safe that they can't get into. It drives them completely insane and they start eating each other and stuff. Yeah, I know, they'll find a way in. But it's my daydream and I can have it any way I want.
 
Even though I often find that I dont like them very much, I like republicans far more than I like cockroaches, and I like cockroaches far more than I like lawyers.

But I like least of all idiots who generalize across the political spectrum as if it actually has any meaning.
 
In my view?

dogs > mathematicians > physicists > chemists & biologist > philosophers > doctors, nurses, paramedics and medical practitioners > other good parts of society (farmers, teachers, policemen, firemen, people who make world go 'round) > other, non-human living things > generally bad parts of society (people who steal, people who leech) > rapists > politicians > insurance agents & bankers > lawyers > home owners associations

Are you a socialist? Because that's the only reason I can think of for picking Democrats over Republicans rather than simply finding both parties distasteful for their willingness to strip the people of their freedoms.

Kind of surprises me after your excellent post against the war on drugs.

I know quite a few lawyers, and other than being a bit cocky, most of them are pretty cool people.
Most of the females I know that are lawyers are pretty awesome too.
