A self contained water cooling system? I'll take one.

While researching heat pipes trying to find my next cpu cooler I stumbled across this.

Water-X

Looks like a decent concept. Anyone have one of these suckers? Is it better than the heat pipe hsf available today?

The only decent heat pipes setups I was able to find was IHC-L71 and IHC-H71 which differ by fan speeds H71 being the faster 6000rpm unit. Wonder how loud that thing is..

Just looking for some friendly info and customer rants and raves if you have any of these items. If you happen to have another item not mentioned above please tell me and the rest of the readers a little bit about it. Please include a link so that we may check it out also.

Cheers!

If you wanted/are interested in a complete system water cooler, thats self contained, then check out the Koolance Exos.

I'm skeptical, it's merely $50. It's either really cheaply designed and the coolant will leak, or too heavy and will fall off the motherboard if I move the case.

Heck, I think 50 bucks is too expensive for something that probably doesn't work any better than a stock cooler and is made of a bunch of plastic. 🙂

You can't really look at it as a "small water cooling system" that's really cheap, you have to look at it as a "gussied up gimmicky heatsink" that's overpriced.

what he said.........ive been through a few too.....(zen cooler to name 1

That cooler seems pretty pointless to me as well. I'd rather have the heat just go directly to the copper heatsink so it can be sucked away instead of having it go through the coolant first. Kinda sounds like taking the long way around to me...
