Yeah, she's moving in. Happens to all of us.

Of course I want her to have her own pop email client.

I use Windows 7 and Thunderbird and altho I see the Bird allows several accounts within the one interface, I would prefer her nowhere near it.
Charter Rights and all.

So which client would b best ?

but she then has access to the mail in my account--both accounts will be listed on the left margin, no ?

Create a separate system account for her, so she logs on to the computer with her own username and password.

This is what I was getting at.

You just need to ensure that YOU log out completely whenever you are finished on the computer.

I would see two ways of doing it

1 - Setup a separate windows user account, which will keep all separate

2 - Use Profiles in Thunderbird, this will keep same windows login, but have separate email profiles for you and your gf.

Thanks for the replies. I will set up a second Thunderbird account and write off the loss of privacy to the cost of commitment (ouch).

You might also set her up on GMAIL or YAHOO.

I would set her up on a separate windows log on and set up the apps under her account to her specific accounts so you both maintain separate settings to insure privacy.

Just set her up on Windows Live mail. It's probably already installed, and it works fine.
