How do you make Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymoer, Acrylic-Based Water-Absorbant Resin absorb faster ( one of these guys ) ?
It says on the package takes up to 10 days....I'd think with the addition of salt/heat/something it would grow possibly a bit faster...

It depends on what is limiting the absorbtion of H20. If it is surface tension, you could add a surfactant (try dish soap) to the water. If it is porosity of the material, try heating the water (alone or in combination with the surfactant). You could also try adding a small amount of a low molecular weight alcohol (e.g., ethanol or propanol).

Powder it, mix it up continuously. Or at least put small holes through it with a needle or drill. Heat might improve absorption, but it might actually hinder it. Try!
