Completely not what I expected

The story... what... but maybe it plays into the ultimate concept... but that means...

I haven't seen it yet, but I have a feeling I'm getting it Monday, because my family knows I'm a fan of Phillip K. Dick. I have high hopes, but just tell me if it's worth it or did they screw up another of his novels. Only one I think they got right was Blade Runner/Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

I went in w/ 0 expectations (didn't know what it was about)....but it was trippy as hell. Overall a great movie though, w/ a great ending. IMO

Was interesting. Didn't see the ending coming, but then, I don't usually. At least worth renting, but I'm not sure I'd personally buy it.

Same, I expected more cyberpunk, which this movie was not. More like Requiem for a Dream , which I also didn't like.

I just watched it on DVD and I concur Juice Box :beer:

Just out of curiosity, anyone know if Scanner was ever released in theaters?

It was released in "select" theaters. Im pretty sure the movie was an interatation of herione addiction.

I just remember seeing a trailer link for Scanner here on ATOT and next I know it's available on netflix

Saw it at a local theater when it came out and it was all I could do to sit through it. We left with about 20 minutes to go. Just not my type of movie but I know several people who loved it.

Loved it. Best movie of 2006 that I can recall. Great acting, great dialogue, good story, fun animation.

Just saw it yesterday. Good flick, and the animation was a cool effect, and played into the story nicely.
