...to get my SV650 out of the garage this weekend! The bike actually started after sitting since April of last year. I keep it on a battery tender, but the carburetors usually give me issues after sitting. Not this time :)

Pics aren't exciting, but here's a couple from today.

I personally think these have enough power for probably 90% of riders (outside of track guys). Sure, it can't go 0-60 as quickly as a liter bike, but it's faster than most cars. The handle pretty well stock, but with some suspension tweaks they can be seriously good; these are actually a pretty popular track-day bike.

I sold my Ducati because I was only riding it once or twice a year during Covid and I used the proceeds to buy myself a Rolex. I figure the watch is less likely to kill me and it is actually worth more now than when I bought it so not a bad way to hold those funds and I wear it every day.

I have a really fond spot for the SV650. Nice bike.

I had a 2010 Aprilia Tuono 1000R (2nd gen) that I sold last year. Loved that bike. It had plenty of power, was very nimble, had a unique look...basically was everything I wanted in a bike. Like you with your Ducati, I just wasn't getting it out enough anymore.

Remaining bikes are the 2001 SV650s and a '96 DR 650. Neither is going anywhere anytime soon.

The SV got GSXR forks and a Kawi 636 shock about 10 years ago (that was a fun mod!), and the matching front and rear wheels. Really did wonders for the handling and braking. I have an Ohlins shock sitting around that I'll install one of these days. I woke the motor up a few years ago with a 2nd gen intake cam swap and a full aftermarket Yoshi exhaust (plus some carb jetting to match the increase airflow).
