Alright, alright... so I lied... so what? ;)

I don't remember where I can find the console variables to edit the size and color of the fonts in Half-Life and Counter-Strike. If you know them (or where I can find them), will you share them with me?

Thanks,
Epsilon

Oh, thanks. I should have thought about that! :) But that's only for the colors and requires the direct editing of a text file. I know for a fact that there are actual console commands to adjust the text and color while in game.

Anybody know what those are?

Hmmm...

Well it seems that the color can be changed using con_color RRR GGG BBB, where RRR, GGG, and BBB are numbers from 0 to 255. Thanks to tweak3d.net.

Unfortunately, I STILL can't find the size variables...

size variables should be in your textscheme files

like tfc/1024_textscheme or however they spell it.

there are like 8 text files in each mod folder
now what you do is open that up and it should be there

here is a part of that file
// DEFAULT BUTTON TEXT
SchemeName = "Primary Button Text"
FontName = "Arial"
FontSize = 23
FgColor = "255 170 0 255"
BgColor = "0 0 0 141"
FgColorArmed = "255 255 255 255"
BgColorArmed = "255 170 0 67"

Hope this helps.

not all mods have it but its there in valve and tfc

OH!! *slaps forehead REALLY hard* DUH! I've seen those before, and I didn't bother going into them because I have the VGUI disabled in Counter-Strike. I didn't even think about the fact that the VGUI is still used for the scoreboard!.

Thanks a lot!
