Hey. I'm trying to build a computer and want to find the best parts.

I'm planning on getting a fast cpu. I'm thinking the pentium dual core. I want to get the conroe, but I can't wait a month for school reasons. I'm thinking of just upgrading to the conroe at the end of the year or next year this time.

But I would like to know what are the best motherboards right now for around 250 or less maybe. Not sure on all of the prices yet.

But if you could help me out on this, that would be a great help.

I'm looking at the 'highend' ones here: http://usa.asus.com/products1.aspx?l1=3

But which one of those would u reccomend? I use my pc a lot, games, multitasking, internet, photoshop. etc. and like to overclock.

Also, I would have to purchase a new motherboard after for it to fit the new conroe processor, right?

ps: I saw a link here where you can overclock a 2.8 dual core to 4.1, which motherboard will that work on best here? Thx

intel: the most expensive Asus board on newegg.com
AMD: the most expensive Asus board on newegg.com

otherwise get a server/workstation board and deal with it

well, considering that it's summer time, I'd spend time outdoors and wait for Conroe to hit. I'd say it's worth the wait because the launch on Intel's next line of processors will definetly speak for themselves.

if you want something now, these boards are guaranteed overclockers if you have overclocking RAM and a good cooler, water cooling if you want extreme GHz

just get the most high prices Asus boards if you want maximum over-clockability:
