Listen I dont understand what all the fuss is about.windows vista is a great os. The best thing about it is that its very stable. No damn glitches like xp. You know why xp has so many glitches? I think a part of the reason is because hard drives are too slow. But thats why vista places some of the files in ram. Thats part of the reason why vista is glitch free! The only bad parts of of it is the drm, the comptibility and that its kind of a demanding os. I teseted vista on a fast pentium 4 3.4 gigs hyper threading, with 4 gigs of ram and an ati x800xt and the cpu usage went up dramaticly. But hey! no problem it was still very stable. And the drm can be cracked. And with the cable card thing think of it this way you dont have to use media center. you can always use a different software to record movies and tv shows. The same goes for watching hd hvd and blue ray. just use a fair use software or use component. And one more thing you can still copy hd dvd and blue ray movies using a copying software. One will come out eventually. I love vista its a very fun safe and stable os.

I would hardly call this a review... More like opinion. And WinXP is stable as long as the hardware is good (not defective) and the user isn't an idiot (the type who is a magnet for malware).

Well yeah I agree, WinXP was already pretty stable and Vista is even more so.

I'm not in the mood for typing so I'll just say Vista is definitely a step forward from XP and I would very much recommend it, it has TONS of great features and its h ardly a bloated and slow system.

That makes absolutely no sense at all. Even if you ignore the fact that XP uses as much memory as possible for file caching too, it still makes no sense.

I think by glitches he really means 'bumps' in his smooth computing experiences (paging delays).

If that's true, those are caused by the OS. Yes, if hard disks were faster it wouldn't be a problem, but it's not a big deal for the OS to work around that as can be seen in Vista and Linux.
