Have you tried making a "Startup" disk from Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs? That is usually very successful in loading a generic cdrom driver for dos boots.

the SCSI card is an adaptec AHA2930. The drivers on my adaptec disk do now work, however, making a win98 boot disk does work. However, I have just always wanted to know how to pop open my config.sys and autoexec.bat and write the lines to load a generic cdrom driver with mscdex. It just seems like a good skill to have in the event you dont have another computer to make a boot disk for you... If someone can explain it, I would be very thankful.
